Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at Stovall Cemetery near Rives. Her son Rev. Gene Turner will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Turner was born February 2, 1911, in Obion County, daughter of the late C.O. "Ollie" and Lela (Thorn) Penn. She was the widow of Joe Carnell Turner Sr. During her lifetime she touched many lives with her music. She taught several young people to play the piano and loved to play the piano for all those who would listen. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, O. Gene & Mary Jane (Chamberlain) Turner of Rives; seven grandchildren and their spouses, David Turner of Union City, Linda (Turner) and Brent Eakes of Hickman, Kentucky, James Paul and Denise Turner of Troy, Billy C. Turner, Brian and Kathy Turner, Shane and Deena Turner, and Lisa (Turner) and Kirk Kalb all of the District 7 community; thirteen great grandchildren and the spouse of one, Luke Kalb, Annie Kalb, Jessica (Turner) and Allen Madsen, J. Paul Turner, Will Turner, Mandy Turner, Kaleb Turner, Olivia Turner, Lakin Shannon, Brett Shannon, Jackson Foster, Preston Eakes and Ashley Eakes; and three great great grandsons, Sam Madsen, Ben Madsen and Henry Madsen.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joe C. Turner Jr. and Billy E. Turner; one sister, Euline Rumley; and one infant grandchild.
