Ruth Patricia Simpson, 70, of Hornbeak passed away 11:14 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

There will be no services. Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Ruth was born December 3, 1948, in Beacon, New York, daughter of the late Dale Colgate and Judith Ann (Conklin) Simpson. She had been employed as a union meat wrapper in supermarkets and was of the Episcopalian faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Jo Anne Gillson of Hornbeak; three grandchildren, Benigno Resto of Kingston, New York, Krystiana Matchtinger of Sparta, New Jersey and Amanda Stottlar of Clarksburg, Missouri; ten great grandchildren; and one sister, Katherine Walsh of Hopewell Junction, New York.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters; and two brothers.
