Ruth (Griffn) Lively, 89, of Martin passed away 7:29 a.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024, at AHC Van Ayer in Martin.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Ruth was born May 24, 1935, in Obion County, daughter of the late Herbert and Connie Lee (Quinton) Griffin. She had been employed as a secretary for Grace Employment Center and Bridgestone both in Memphis. Ruth was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Jerry Griffin of Troy; five nieces, Linda Spence Lee of Rogers, Arkansas, Debbie Griffin Quinn of the Shawtown community, Barbie Griffin Orr of Hornbeak and Jan Griffin Jernigan and Joyce Griffin Edwards both of Dyersburg; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Griffin and Marlene Griffin both of Troy; and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sue Griffin Spence; and two brothers, James "Bud" Griffin and Ivan Griffin.

The family would like to thank the staff of AHC Van Ayer for the love and care they gave Ruth the past 11 years while she was a resident there.
