Mrs. Evena Ruth "Momma Ruth" Collins, 80, of Union City went home to be with the Lord at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church in Union City. Pastor Paul Ray Cagle will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at First United Pentecostal Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Stepp, Billy Collins, Kimmy Collins, Austin Collins, Tyler Maddox and Troy Edington.

Mrs. Collins was born July 19, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of the late George and Geneva Ruth (Clovis) Davis. She married Robert Clinton "Clint" Collins April 24, 1955. He preceded her in death August 20, 2014. Ms. Ruth retired after more than thirty years of service as a superintendent at Kohler in Union City and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Union City.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mark London of Troy; one son, David Collins of Union City; four sisters, Wanda Hill of Union City, Marti Glut of Nashville, Nita Byrum of Savannah and Linda Byrd of Pickwick; five grandchildren, Niki Collins of Obion, Danielle Maddox of Union City, Chance Collins of the Sidonia community, Savannah London of Memphis and Summer London of Germantown; and five great grandchildren, Jennie Lei Summers and Andrew Maddox both of Union City, Laurel Summers and Carson Summers both of Obion and Bryson Collins of the Sidonia community.
She was also preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Jordan Summers; and three brothers, George Davis, Kenneth Davis and James Davis.
