Mr. Russell Anthony "Russ" Stanavage Jr., 67, of Union City died 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Justin Cook and Rev. Ruth Green will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Stanavage was born December 25, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut son of Catherine (Aieta) Stanavage of Union City and the late Russell Anthony Stanavage Sr. He married the former Betty Ladd on September 14, 2004. She survives. Russ was a retired district sales manager for Michelin Tire Company in Hartford where he was in charge of sales, marketing, advertising and promotions for the entire Michelin tire product line. He was an avid golfer.

He is also survived by two daughters, Debra Neeb of New Milford,Connecticut and Deanna Varljen of Richmond, Virginia; his step-daughter, Sandy Ellison of Rives; his step-son, Elvest Cook of Oakland, Miss.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Dale Ross, Steve Ladd, Teddy Ladd, Gary Hagan, Todd Isbell and Wes Walden.
