Obituary

Ms. Ruby Clark Butler, 72, of Union City died at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the home of her daughter Diane Tolley in Kenton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at The Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at The Living Word Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Blakley, Kevin Davis, Larry Davis, Wayne Irvine, Jerry Richards and James Rainey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Richards, Nelson Tolley, Jr. and Zack Fowler.

Ms. Butler was born May 1, 1940, in Halls, Tennessee, daughter of the late Jack and Lois (Doss) Blakley. She was a member of The Living Word Church in Hornbeak and a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Nelson Tolley of Kenton; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Jo Smith of the Sidonia community; four sisters, Virgie O'Steen of Union City, Lilly Rainey and Dorothy Bingham both of Samburg and Peggy Spencer of Tiptonville; two brothers, John Blakley of Hornbeak and Harold Douglas Blakley of Samburg; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Blakley.
