Roy Ellis Herchenhahn, 73, of Union City passed away 7:16 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the Obion County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Angie Howe will officiate.

Pallbearers will be family members.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Roy was born July 12, 1947, in Selmer, son of the late Archie Ellis and Georgie (Vandiver) Herchenhahn. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Jones Walker Post 4862 in Union City. Roy had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

He is survived by two daughters, Becky Powell (Jason) of Dyersburg and Lisa Watson of Gleason; one step daughter, Paula May of Union City; four grandchildren, Eli Powell and Ethan Powell both of Dyersburg and Stephen May and Stacey May both of Union City; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Underwood (Ricky) of Union City, Glenda Powers (Bruce) South Dayton, Florida and Debbie Grant (Jim) of Waxham, North Carolina; and two brothers, Allen Herchenhahn (Debbie) of Union City and Larry Herchehhahn of Pennville, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Babb and Molly Daniel; and one brother, Jerry Herchenhahn.
