Obituary

Rosa Lee Norman, 96, of Troy passed away 7:58 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Brother Truitt Cockrell and Brother Rob Finley will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Bumpus, Dean Norman, John Davis, Gary Crawford, Jacob Crawford, Landon Norman, B.J. Phillips and Steve Wills.

Visitation will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m.until the hour of services Saturday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rosa Lee was born October 20, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late James and Katie (Butler) Edwards. She married Ralph "Billy" Norman, Sr. April 18, 1942. He preceded her in death February 10, 2004. Rosa Lee was a retired seamstress and homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Obion County Rescue Squad Crewettes where she served as president.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jean Bumpus (James Earl) of Troy and Rosemary Norman of Kenton; two sons, Ralph "Buddy" Norman, Jr. (Cynthia) and David Lee Norman (Rebecca) all of Troy; five grandchildren, Jeanette Davis (John), Dean Norman and Dawn Crawford (Gary) all of Troy, Jamie Bumpus (Kristi) of Knoxville and Melissa Johnson (Larry) of Union City; ten great grandchildren, Jennifer Cooley, Kailyn Crawford, Landon Norman, Madeline Norman, Amelia Bumpus, R.J. Bumpus, Andy Johnson, Emily Johnson, Zach Johnson, Jacob Crawford (Brooke); and one great great grandson, Connor Cooley.

She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Bumpus; her grandson-in-law, Adam Cooley; four sisters, Alva Mae Pannell, Janie Hildebrand, Hattie Tison and Mary Anna Edwards; and two brothers, Ray Edwards and J.B. Edwards.
