Ronald Tate "Ronnie" Sutherland, 89, of Union City passed away Saturday, July 23, 2023, at his home.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Leroy Brown and Rev. Jimmy Calhoun will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Dellinger, Bobby Williams, Steve Sedberry, Greg Bransford and Doug McDaniel.

Ronnie was born March 26, 1934, in Union City, son of the late Sylvester "Pete" and Bessie Woods (Tate) Sutherland. He had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company, had a lawn care business and had been employed at Save A Lot in Union City. Ronnie was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lacewell; his brother, Jimmy Sutherland of Union City; and his nephew, Jimmy Sutherland Jr. of South Fulton.
