Mr. Ronnie Owens, 64, of Union City passed away 11:10 p.m. Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Ronnie was born July 5, 1960, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, son of the late Eugene and Margie Marie (Martin) Owens. He was employed at Tyson Foods in Union City. Ronnie enjoyed dancing and singing.

He is survived by one son, John Owens of Warner, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kera Owens of Springfield, Missouri; his fiance, Debbie Shields of Union City; one brother, Donald Owens of Obion; four step children, Alex Shields and Cody Shields both of Union City, Liz Shields of Dyersburg and Cole Shields of Hickman, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Axel Jones, Gregory Jones and Brantley Jones all of Dyersburg; one nephew, Dwayne Storey of Troy; three nieces, Jazmin and Becky Cook (D.J.) all of Union City and Regina Dotson of Troy; his great nieces and great nephews, Emma Wilson, Landyn Hurst, Samuel Cook and Eli Cook all of Union City and Dalton Benson, Cheyenne Owens and Brooke Davidson all of Oklahoma; and special cousin, Resa Koon (Dale) of Dresden.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Thornberry.
