Ronald Buford "Ron" Yates, 73, of Union City passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.

Family members will serve as pallbearers

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ron was born January 1, 1951, in Union City, son of the late Buford William and Willie Carrol (Wilkins) Yates. He had been employed in the produce department in area grocery stores and enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his three children, Jonathan Yates of Union City, Jennifer Yates Bolden and husband Steven of Memphis and Julie Yates Leath and husband Jerome of Union City; three grandchildren, Olivia Yates, Taylor Leath and Jake Leath all of Union City; and one niece, Carla Russo of St. Louis, Missouri.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Randolph and Ruth Ann Russo; and one brother, Jimmy Yates.
