Ronnie Curtis “Ron” Costello, 48, of Fulton, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at his home.
With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of Ronnie Costello, born August 2, 1978, in DuQuoin, Illinois. Ronnie was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose life touched countless people.
Ronnie spent his childhood in Wildwood, Illinois, and attended and graduated from Warren Township High School, where he was affectionately known as “Two Scoopz.” His nickname became part of the identity that friends and classmates would remember him by, reflecting a chapter of his life filled with friendships, high school football and baseball, and memories that stayed with him throughout the years.
Ronnie worked at Kayser in Fulton, Kentucky, where he took pride in his work and developed meaningful relationships with the people around him. To Ronnie, his coworkers were more than just people he worked alongside; they were family. He genuinely cared about the people in his life, and the connections he made with others were a reflection of who he was.
Ronnie had a special gift that is difficult to put into words. He had a way of connecting with people from all walks of life, making others feel welcome and valued. It is often said that someone was loved by everyone who knew them, but in Ronnie’s case, those words truly fit. He had a personality that drew people in, a heart that made room for others, and a way of leaving an impression on nearly everyone he met. His ability to build relationships and make people feel like they mattered was one of his greatest qualities.
Ronnie is survived by his father, Bro. Ron Costello; his mother, Leslea Costello; his brother, John Costello; his daughter, Allie Costello; his nephews, Braden and Noah Kade Costello; his niece, Haylee Schweiss; and his grandchildren, Braxton, Landon, and Lily Costello and Greyson, Remington, Jackson. He also leaves behind extended family, friends, his work family at Kayser, and countless others whose lives were made better simply because they knew him.
Though Ronnie’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created, the relationships he built, and the love he shared will continue to live on. His life was a reminder that the impact we have on others is not measured by what we accomplish, but by how we make people feel and the connections we leave behind.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 8:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Ronnie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
