Obituary

Roger Lee Moore, 66, of Obion passed away 3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Hodges, Sammy Snead, David Salmon, Kendall Salmon, O'Neal Baker and Robert Forrester.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Nettles, Jerry Price, Craig Vancleave and Justin Green.

Roger was born January 30, 1953, in Tiptonville, son of the late Raymond Everett and Opal Lorene (Mayfield) Moore. He married Judy (Douglas) Moore March 22, 1980. She survives. Roger retired from the Obion County Sheriff Department after 18 years of service and was a Troy Police officer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is also survived by one daughter, Leah Lindsey (Gene) of Lumberton, Texas; two sons, Jonathan Moore (Brittney) of Obion and Benjamin Moore (fiance' Amber Wright) of South Fulton; eight grandchildren, Landon Moore, Tucker Moore, Knox Moore, Bentley Moore, T. Grant Stevens, Emmaleigh Stevens, Blake Lindsey and Skyler Lindsey; and one brother, Ronnie Moore (Janice) of Hornbeak.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie Moore, James Moore and J.R. Moore; and one sister, Marlene Beasley.
