Mr. Rodney Truett, 79, of Rives passed away 9:40 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015, at Regional Hospital of Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Carl Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Billy Isbell, Shawn Strickland, Paul Truett, Alan Norris, Shawn Serrett and Blake Jordan.
Mr. Truett was born November 2, 1935, in Lake County, son of the late Herbert Lexie and Maudie Mozell (Rodgers) Truett. Mr. Truett was a truck driver and mechanic for many years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Pepper Truett of Troy and Rodney and Deborah Truett of Kenton; one brother, Bill Truett of Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Gale Armes of Rives and Dr. Bonnie Serrett of Huntsville, Al.; seven grandchildren, Josh Truett of the Minnick community, Jacob Willnow of Trenton, Samantha Littrell of Bradford, Austin Conway of Kenton, Ashley Truett of Troy, Blake Truett of Troy and Dalton Truett of Troy and two great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Roger Wade Truett; one sister, Lola Frances Vandiver and his daughter-in-law,
