Mr. Rocky Lane Woods, 63, of Union City passed away 12:44 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Bible Church near Union City. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery. Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Bible Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be James Beasley, Steve Smith, Chester Davis, Vic Smith, Bobby Smith and Charles Dean.

Rocky was born May 8, 1953, in Obion County, son of the late Thurman "Dick" and Louise (Quillons) Woods. He married Sheila (Farmer) Woods June 22, 1989. She survives. Rocky was a mechanic and member of the New Hope Bible Church.

He is also survived by two sons, Kris Woods and Allan Woods of Samburg; three daughters, Karla (Dovell) Wilson of Muskegon, Mi.; Jennifer (John) Durham of Union City and Hope (Richard) Eaves of Samburg; three brothers, Ray (Martha) Woods of Big Sandy, Richie Woods of Samburg and Tony Woods of Nashville; one sister, Mary Webb of Big Sandy; six grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie Woods and Roy Woods; two sisters, Joni Dean and Joanna Gordon; and his in-laws, Leborn and Rebecca Farmer.
