Robin Kaye Farrar, 72, of Rives passed away at West Tennessee Healthcare Martin on August 31, 2026, surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents and many relatives, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wayne Farrar in 2011. Robin and Harold were married on August 16, 1969. They spent 42 happy years building their family, hosting family gatherings, fishing, and camping.
Robin is survived by two sons: Jamie (and Tracy) of Uhrichsville, Ohio and Jay (and Julie) of Geneva, Ohio Grandchildren: Hannah Farrar (Thomas), Baylee Sowick (Roger), Analie Farrar, Blake Simpson (Jenna) and Jennifer Pahl (Rusty). Great grandchildren: Otis and Vera Greer, Brayden and Lilly Pahl, Greer and Mattie Simpson. Robin leaves a legacy of love and service to others. She was the epitome of a caring mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. She shaped the lives of those she loved by her steadfast dedication and unwavering belief in them. She welcomed everyone to her home and made them feel important. Following her husband’s passing, she invested her time in meaningful work at We Care in Martin. Robin was a gifted painter and pie baker. She also had a knack for sewing and cross stitch. Some of her favorite things included watching her sons’ sporting events, visiting the Reelfoot Lake Arts and Crafts show, going on cruises, and reading. She loved Christmas decorations, coffee, Diet Coke, mascara, Keds tennis shoes, Tabu perfume, and online auctions. She began a Black Friday tradition in her family that spans 34 years and is carried on by her granddaughters today. She was immensely proud of her sons and grandchildren and was happy to tell anyone willing to listen about them. Robin also shared the last years of her life with her special partner, Billy Sutton. Before her health declined they spent their time traveling, gardening, and spoiling fur babies. In memory and spirit of her, please give grace and love to others.
