Mr. Robert H. "Robin" Shumate, 63, of Woodland Mills passed away 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Martin.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Robert was born December 21, 1957, in Tiptonville, son of the late John and Marilyn (Bargery) Shumate. He married Linda (Weatherly) Shumate March 18, 1984. She survives. He was the owner/operator of Shumate Transportation for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. Robert loved football and agriculture. He was a longtime fan of The Pittsburg Steelers and loved his John Deere mower! He was always very humorous but his biggest personality trait was his love for others. He had a profound love for his close friends and especially his family, going above and beyond to provide. Robert never met a stranger and was the type of person who would help anyone in need. He also had many truck driving friends all across the country. He was definitely one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

He is also survived by two sons, Jacob Shumate of Denver, Colorado and Mason Shumate of Lisle, Illinois; one brother, John Shumate (Angie Dial) of Samburg; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
