Robert Herman Michel, 77, of Samburg passed away 6:55 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Samburg Assembly of God. Brother George Hutchison will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at Samburg Assembly of God from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Michel was born June 30, 1937, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, son of the late Herman and Margaretta (Wiggins) Michel. He married Marilyn (Morrison) Michel January 26, 1962. She died August 13, 2005. Mr. Michel had been employed by U.S. Steel, Corning Glass Works and United Catalyst, Inc. He was a member of Samburg Assembly of God and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherilyn Walker of Louisville, Kentucky and Michelle Michel of Corydon, Indiana; one son, Robert Daryl Michel of Corydon, Indiana; two sisters, Carol Prokop of Jonestown, Pennsylvania and Elaine Cameron of Frostburg, Maryland; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
