Robert Ray "Bobby" McGinnis, 69, of Union City passed away 4:45 a.m. Friday, September
1, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley
Funeral Home. Brother Marvin Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mr. McGinnis was born August 2, 1948, in Bowden, Georgia, son of the late John and Gladys
Irene (Wright) McGinnis. He married Melba (Johnson) McGinnis August 17, 1985. She survives.
Mr. McGinnis was a retired employee of A & J Salvage, was a member of Young Patriots of
Chicago and was of the Baptist faith.

He is also survived by two daughters, Sonia (Alex) Maya of Union City and Ruth (Jerry) Walford of Elbridge; four sons, Charles (Danielle) Geary of Louisville, Kentucky, John (Stephanie)
McGinnis of Grayson County, Kentucky, Josh (Brenda) McGinnis and Bobby Joe (Jessica)
McGinnis all of Union City; one brother, Mackey McGinnis of Momence City, Illionis;
28 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Elijah McGinnis and Timothy Quillins; two
brothers, Ernie McGinnis and Johnny McGinnis; and one nephew.
