Robert McClain 1946-2015
Mr. Robert E. McClain, 68, of the Shawtown community passed away 3:50 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eric Burress will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Manuel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Pallbearers will be Danny Stover, Gary Haynes, Will Bratton, Brad Sanders, Robin Parker and Billy Craddock.
Honorary pallbearers will be James "Buddy" Scheland and Josh Haynes.
Mr. McClain was born March 15, 1946, in Lake County, son of the late William "Bill" and Mary (Mayfield) McClain. He married Elizabeth Joan (Scheland) McClain August 29, 1981. She survives. Mr. McClain retired from the maintenance department at Jimmy Dean Foods in Newbern and was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.
He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Jason Bizzle of Dyersburg; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve Kozbiel of Southaven, Mississipp, Mark and Wendy Bratton of Martin and Steven McClain of Smyrna; six grandchildren and the spouse of one, Stacey and Josh Haynes of the Shawtown community, Jeremy Brooks of Southaven, Mississippi, Kaitlin Paschal, Will Bratton and Maggie Bratton all of Martin and Ava McClain of Smyrna; two great grandchildren, Walker Haynes of the Shawtown community and Makenzie Brooks of Southaven, Mississippi; two sisters, Joyce McGahey of Gleason and Shirley Doyle of Tiptonville; and two brothers, Kenneth McClain of Tiptonville and Wayne McClain of Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy McClain.
