Mr. Robert Michael de la Vega, 59, of Union City passed away 3:27 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at New Hope Bible Church.  Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate.  Burial will follow in Graves Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Bible Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Timbo Smith, Jeremey Smith, Jeremiah Smallwood, Lakeland de la Vega, Dylan Smith, Justin Collins and Steve Smith.

Robert was born March 28, 1964, in Gastonia, North Carolina, son of Ciro de la Vega of Texas and the late Frankie Bland.  He married Darla (Ray) de la Vega November 4, 2005.  She survives.  He was a member of New Hope Bible Church.

He is also survived by two daughters, Ashley Smith (Jeremiah) of Trenton and Tara de la Vega of Fulton, Kentucky; one son, Joe Smith (Pam) of Hornbeak; thirteen grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard de la Vega and Thomas Howard both of Texas.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tori Smith.
