Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

Mr. Edgeworth was born August 20, 1926, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Dewey Edgeworth Sr. and the late Geneva (Hatfield) Edgeworth. He married the former Elizabeth Thornton on April 20, 1952. She survives. Mr. Edgeworth had been a retail store manager, a watch maker and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City, was a World War II United States Navy veteran and had been a Mason for many years.

He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bebe and Gary Vincent of Martin; his son, Robert Edgeworth III of Atlanta, Gerogia; his granddaughter and her husband, Patricia and Charles Floyd of Union City; two great grandchildren, Joshua Floyd and Ashlyn Floyd both of Union City; and his sister, Oleta Lee of Bradenton, Florida.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Gary Vincent, Charles Floyd, Joshua Floyd, Carl Hudson, Logan Gray and Gaylon Nance.
