Mr. Robert Higgins, Jr., 68, of Union City passed away 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Terry Council will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mr. Higgins was born August 13, 1947, in Union City, son of the late Robert Lee Higgin, Sr. and the late Dessie Bea (Henderson) Higgins. Mr. Higgins was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one daughter and her fiancé, Robin Michelle Higgins and Jackie Holley of Union City; five sons and the spouses of four, Glynn and Rhonda Higgins of Obion, Dale and Tana Higgins of Fulton, Kentucky, David Wayne Higgins, Sr. and Angie Higgins of Hornbeak, Mark and Wendy Higgins of Kuttawa, Kentucky and Michael Higgins of Union City; two brothers, Johhny Mack Higgins of Lebanon and Sammie Higgins of Union City; one sister, Dorothy McCarthy of Hickman, Kentucky; twenty grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Brian Bradshaw; one brother, Odell Higgins; and one sister, Odessa Higgins.
