Obituary

Mr. Robert Dale Dilday, 76, of South Fulton went home to be with the Lord 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Perry, Rev. Jack Dilday and Matt Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin with military honors.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 and after 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Robby Cox, William Cox, Ken Etherton, Colt Newton, Larry Gene Palmer and Bobby Woodruff.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Palmer, Donald McFadden, Bobby Tims, Bud Austin and Jackie Wayne Dilday.

Robert was born December 8, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois son of the late Robert William and Zola Mai (Dildine) Dilday. He married Joyce Jeanell (Goodwin) Dilday November 16, 1969. She survives. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a tire builder for 14 years and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict. Robert was a member of New Life Family Worship Center in Fulton, Kentucky and was a member of the Cumberland Aires Southern Gospel Quartet for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Dilday of South Fulton; three daughters, Crystal (Steve) Perry Of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Cathy (Jason) Newton of South Fulton and Connie (Matt) Hoffman of Union City; eight grandchildren, Robert Cox, William (Malinda) Cox, Abby Cox, Emily Cox, Kendall (Ken) Etherton, Colt (Katie) Newton, Caitlyn Hoffman and Chance Hoffman; three great grandchildren, Caroline Etherton, Meleah Cox and Lillian Cox; his siblings, Rev. Jack (Lisa) Dilday, Doris Childress, Betty Greer, Barbara Harrison, Phyllis Rook, Dolly Austin and Marlene Sims; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Dilday; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Jimmy Dilday and Larry Palmer.
