Mr. Robert Dale Chessor, 62, of Hornbeak died 2:45 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday at The Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at The Living Word Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Thayer, Danal Douthit, Jason Madding, Wayne Dunn, Duke Montgomery, Cotton Brewer and Charles Moore.

Mr. Chessor was born August 26, 1950, in Lake County, son of the late Leslie King and Othella Lee (Bell) Chessor. He married Mildred (Works) Chessor October 18, 1969. She survives. Robert had been employed
as a sales clerk at Napa Auto Parts in Union City for several years. He was a member of The Living Word Church in Hornbeak.

He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Othella Marie and Danal Douthit of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Dale and Sue Ann Chessor of Hornbeak; his sister, Diane Ellegood of Troy; three grandsons, Andrew Thayer, Damon Douthit and Robert Douthit all of Union City; his brother-in-law, Terry Cable of Knox, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Louis Chessor; his sister, Marilyn Cable; and his brother, Gary Chessor.
