Robert Lynn Barnes, 70, of the Crystal community passed away 5:25 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Paul Adams and Brother Steve Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Larry Albright, Jerry Porter, David Cunningham, Joey McKnight, Jimmy Hawkins, Dwight Phillips, Thomas Taylor and Terry Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Goff, Jake Vincent, Seth Taylor, John David Kersey, Ricky King, Chris Pritchett, Trent Allman, Jeremy Barnes, Kyle Bailey, Jack Parker and Sammy McCollum.
Lynn was born November 21, 1952, in Union City, son of the late Robert M. and Sue (Mitchell) Barnes. He married Kay (Harrison) Barnes August 4, 1979. She survives. Lynn had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a fourth generation farmer with Barnes Farms. He had served on the board of directors of the Obion County Farmer's Co Op, was a member of the Tennessee Master Beef Association, the Tennessee Soybean Association and VFW Post 4862. Lynn was an avid supporter of Obion County sports programs. He was a member of Antioch Union Church.
He is also survived by three daughters, Keisha Barnes Hooper and husband Rance of the Crystal community, Kayla Lynn Yates and husband Rick of Union City and Kara Jene Barnes and fiance' Bo Vincent of Martin; one brother, Kenneth Barnes and wife Sharon of the Crystal community; one sister, Kathy Patterson and husband Glenn of the Crystal community; and six grandchildren, Alexus Hooper, Keaton Yates, Harrison Hooper, Karter Yates, Holt Nicodemus and Hudson Sadler.
He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, Danny Barnes.
