Rita Faye Walford, 63, of Union City passed away 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

There will be no services. Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Rita was born September 5, 1959, in Hartford, Michigan, daughter of the late Harrison Robert and Ellie Marie (Franks) Mofield. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Crystal Walford of Union City; two sons, Adam Thompson of Watervliet, Michigan and Donnie Thompson of Lawton, Michigan; her companion, Michael Gooch of Union City; one sister, Sue Sandusky of Russellville, Alabama; two brothers, Gordon Mofield of Polk City, Florida and David Mofield of Clairemont, Florida; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Christopher Thompson; three sisters, Ellie Fowler, Peggy McGill and Maudie Ann Vann; and two brothers, Johnny Mofield and Buddy Mofield.
