Ms. Wilma LaRhetta "Rita" Pride, 73, of Obion, passed away 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at Obion Community Center, 221 North Broadway Street, Obion, Tn.  38240.

Rita was born February 23, 1951, in Union City, daughter of the late Elgie and Flora (Alexander) McCant.  She worked for the former H.I.S. plant is Tiptonville.

She is survived by two daughters, Velvet Pride (Jeff Mayfield) of Obion and Jimi Jenkins (Tim) of Samburg; two sons, Torey Pride of Union City and Brandon Pride (Malaya) of Desloge, Missouri; one sister, Jennifer Berry of Brownwood, Texas; three brothers, Michael McCant (Theresa) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ricky McCant of Brownwood, Texas and Dale McCant of Huntsville, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy McCant; and one sister, Sarah McCant.
