I'm Going Home
This is the last day of the last month of the final year, it has arrived on life's calendar yet I have nothing to fear. In time leaves will wither and fall beneath the tree, I have God's promise that winter will not come for me.
Tomorrow is unlike today that comes, passes then is gone, tomorrow is that day I have been waiting for so long. I am happy and at peace as I sit in my favorite chair, looking for the Angel of Death of whom I am ready to bear.
I soon will stand at the station with my ticket in hand, waiting for the conductor who'll show me the Promised Land. I am anxious and am ready, waiting for that final hour, in time I will be transported by that heavenly power.
The journey is a swift one; there is now no such thing as time, just within an instant the city of gold I'll find. Here my travels will be over for this will be my home, it is here that you will find me singing before the throne.
A shadow is now upon me, it covers me like a shroud, my thoughts are of my savior and if I've made him proud. Come with me upon this journey to see this wonderful place, Salvation will give you passage, your ticket has been bought with grace.
