Ricky Lynn Cooper, 61, of Union City passed away 9:26 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his daughter's home in the Midway community.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Jamie Jones will officiate.  Burial will follow in Stanley's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Smith, Jeremy Virden, Tyler Anderson, Roger Lee, Rick Ash and Willie Morris.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Ricky was born April 21, 1960, in Martin, son of the late Bobby Gene Cooper and Wanda (Newhouse) Cooper McGarrity.  He married Beverly (Glover) Copper July 10, 1981.  She passed away October 20, 2014.  He was a carpenter.

He is survived by one daughter, Misty Swift of the Midway community; one son, Bobby Gene Cooper of Union City; six grandchildren, Kimberly Morris (Willie) of Tiptonville, Katelynn Swift (Tyler) of Union City, Tristyn Cooper of Elbridge, Trevor Cooper of Elbridge, Junior Cooper of Hornbeak and Nick Cooper of Hornbeak; and one sister, Debbie Stubbelfield of Union City.

He was also preceded by his son-in-law, Tony Swift; and one brother, Keith Cooper.
