Ricky Dale "Rick" Searcy, 68, of Union City passed away 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

Rick was born August 19, 1956, in Dyersburg, son of the late Harold and Wanda (Larry) Searcy. He was a 1975 graduate of Union City High School and a 1979 graduate of  the University of Tennessee at Martin where he played baseball and received a degree in engineering. Rick was co owner of Searcy Construction Company.

He is survived by his wife Susie Searcy of Union City; four children, Sarah Searcy Kennedy and husband Matt, Clay Searcy and wife Morgan, Stephanie Price and husband Andy and Matthew Burns; three sisters, Candy Searcy Whipple and husband Kevin, Shawna Searcy Williams and Stacy Searcy Patterson and husband Bryan; seven grandchildren, Evie Rae Kennedy, Brooks Kennedy, Landry Searcy, Liam Searcy, Hannah Chappell Duncan and husband Trent, Erin Chappell and Nick Chappell; and four great grandchildren, Ainsley Sadler, Hadlee Duncan, Wesley Duncan and Brynleigh Duncan; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to UTM Athletics, 554 University Street, Martin, Tennessee 38237 where Rick was a proud baseball alumni.
