Richard Andrew Harris, 74, went to his heavenly home Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation.

He was born July 6, 1951, in Paducah, Kentucky, son of the late William Perry Harris and Loneita Joyce (Pate) Harris. Richard was a proud graduate of Obion County Central High School class of 1972. He was an avid Beatles fan and a Civil War enthusiast and a member of Sons of Confederate veterans. Richard was an ordained minister with the Cumberland Presbyterian faith and pastored churches in Missouri and Ohio.

Richard is survived by three sons, Josh Harris of Hornbeak and William Travis Harris and Joseph Andrew Harris both of Ohio; and one sister, Mary of South Memphis.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one brother, John Harris.

In an act of love for humanity and a selfless heart, Richard's wish was to donate his body to science.

There will be a memorial service at a later date at Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Troy.
