Obituary

Mrs. Revia Wilson Caruthers, 84, of Union City went home to be with the Lord at 5:50 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Union City.

There will be no services at this time. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens in Pecks Mill, West Virginia.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Caruthers was born September 3, 1927, in Omar, West Virginia, daughter of the late John B. and Delphia (Williams) Chafin. She married Jimmy Caruthers in 1987. He died in 1989. She retired after eighteen years of service as a receptionist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John E.B. and Astrid Wilson of Woodstock, Georgia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betsy (Wilson) Jack of Red Hook, New York, Jenny (Wilson) and Mark Newell of Elkmont, Alabama and Amy (Wilson) and Randall McGregor of Eatonton, Georgia; her stepson, Steve Caruthers of Union City; her sister, Patty Wigington of Akron, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank C. Wilson.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Sunswept Baptist Church, 205 South Sunswept Drive, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
