Raymond Woodard 1942-2014
Mr. Raymond Eugene Woodard, 72, of Union City died 1:15 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother David Sauer and Brother Tommy Jowers will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Billy Park Threlkeld, James Threlkeld, Norman McDaniel, Greg Bransford, Danny Isbell and James Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Sons of Confederate Veterans, Phil Green, Jerry Griffin, Ronnie Southerland and James Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 1422 Pleasant Valley Ave., Union City, Tn. 38261 or

Mr. Woodard was born August 23, 1942, in Obion County, son of the late Raymond Edgar Woodard and Martha Lynn (Logan) Woodard of Union City. He married Shirley Ann (McClard) Woodard on September 15, 1963. She survives. Mr. Woodard had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company in Union City for 30 years. He was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He is also survived by one son, Brock Woodard of Nashville; two grandchildren, Crystal Cooper and Kelsey Woodard of Troy and two great grandchildren, Marcus Wade,V and Avery Cooper of Troy.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Woodard.
