Mr. George Randal Robinett, Jr., 73, of Union City passed away 6:40 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mr. Robinett was born December 6, 1941, in Miami, Oklahoma, son of the late George Randal Robinettt, Sr. and the late Barbara (Paden) Ashbrook. He married Jo Ann (Roach) Robinett July 17, 1961. She survives. Mr. Robinett retired after thirty three years of service with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Gage, Kentucky and attended Second Baptist Church in Union City.
He is also survived by one daughter, Heather Rodgers of Union City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy Robinett of Tupelo, Mississippi and Jeremy and Anne Robinett of Birmingham, Alabama; and six granddaughters, Morgan Rodgers and Avery Rodgers both of Union City, Lacey Robinett of Tupelo, Mississippi and Lily Robinett, Sylvie Robinett and Ada Robinett all of Birmingham, Alabama.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jake Rodgers; and two brothers, Phillip Ashbrook and Terry Robinett.
