Mr. Phillip Norris Scarborough, 67, of Troy died 4:55 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday at
The Living Word Church
in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will officiate.
Visitation will be held at The Living Word Church from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Scarborough was born May 28, 1947, in Union City, son of the late John G. Scarborough and the late Alda (Lock) Pruett. He married Doris Marie (Pogue) Scarborough August 21, 1975. She survives. Mr. Scarborough was the owner and operator of Scarborough's Same Day Service and was a member of the Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Julie and Billy Joe Griffin and Katie Becton all of Troy; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve Scarborough of Nashville and Thomas and Kristi Scarborough of Troy; one brother, Robert Pruett of Union City; seven grandchildren, David Griffin of Kenton, Mandy Correa of Obion, Abbey McWherter of Rives, Daphne Becton, Allison McCall Scarborough and Cameron Scarborough all of Troy and Ashley Scarborough of Union City; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Roberson Griffin; and two brothers, Gene Scarborough and Norman Scarborough.
