Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Greg Wells and Brother Jim Fortner will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Doxey, Yates Scribner, Larry Edmundson, Charles Cowell, Brock Griffin, Mark Bratton and William Vickers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Rhodes and Bill Osteen.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Miles was born October 21, 1939, in Martin, son of the late William Clyde and Eva Mae (Brock) Miles. He married the former Norma Jean Cooper on January 1, 1972. She died June 1, 2008. Mr. Miles had been a truck driver for the former Reelfoot Packing Company, dock foreman for the former K.T. Distributors and a truck driver for Barker Brothers. He was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church, served in the Tennessee National Guard for six years, was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Union City and the American Legion in Martin.
Mr. Miles is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tanya and John Long of Troy, Ginger Dotson of Danville, Virginia and Deia and Chris Saunders of Danville, Virginia; his step-son and his wife, Allen and Lisa Cavender of Jackson; three sisters, Pat Gammon of South Fulton, Nell Warren of Wichita Falls, Texas and Marilyn Scott of Benton, Kentucky; his brother, Clyde B. Miles of Martin; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
