Phil Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Phillip Ray "Phil" Johnson, 82, of Union City passed away 10:15 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Phil was born June 16, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, son of the late Ray Layfette and Mildred Marcille (Krisher) Johnson. He married Elnora (Fritz) Johnson September 3, 1960. She survives. Phil retired after 43 years of service with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City, the Trail Blazer Sunday School Class and the Goodyear Wingfoot Retirees Club. Phil had also served in the United States Army Reserve for nine years.
He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steven Phillip and Amy Johnson of Castle Rock, Colorado; and one grandson, Shawn Johnson of Castle Rock, Colorado.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, James William Johnson.
