Mr. Perry Dwayne Golden, 66, of Union City passed away 6:12 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at First Church of God in Union City. Brother Ron Gray will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Shepherd, Jonathan Enochs, Michael Enochs, Corey Siglow, Dalton Shepherd, T.J. Long, Matt Covey and Jamie Covey.
Visitation will be held at First Church of God from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Golden was born March 29, 1949, in Union City, son of the late Wade and Zelma (Johnson) Golden. He married Faye Marie (Covey) Golden September 1, 2001. She survives. Mr. Golden served in the United States Army in the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam and was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge. Perry retired from General Motors Company in Ypsilanti, Michigan after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Church of God in Union City and was an avid golfer.
He is also survived by two stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, Tanya and Ben Srystad of Hawaii and Lisa and Tony Darnall of Union City; four stepsons and three stepdaughters-in-law, Wesley Shepherd of Fowlersville, Michigan, Jonathan and Jessica Enochs of Union City, Michael and Cathy Enochs of Brighton, Michigan and Corey and Wendy Siglow of Union City; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Dale and Margaret Tidwell of Fredericktown, Missouri, Sammy and Nellie Golden of Sweeny, Texas, Mackie Golden of Union City and Joey and Lori Golden of New York, New York; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Teddy Golden.
