Obituary

Peggy Lee "Nanny" Uzzle, 78, of Hickman, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord 8:22 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday at First Pentecostal Church in Union City. Rev. Cody Marks, Rev. Dwayne Uzzle and Rev. Billy Uzzle will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Peggy was born September 10, 1944, in Monticello, Kentucky, daughter of the late Fred and Sarilda Anne (Young) West. She married Rev. James Uzzle August 29, 1963. He preceded her in death June 18, 1993. Sister Peggy was an evangelist and pastor's wife for 30 years. The past 30 years of her life she has served as church secretary, caregiver, homemaker and seamstress. Sister Peggy was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Union City. She loved her family, church and flowers. She loved to travel. No distance was to far for her to go. Sister Peggy was a member of the Goldies Senior Group at the church. Sister Peggy enjoyed listening to southern gospel music.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Scott Baker and Penny and Randy Jones all of Union City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Phillip Uzzle of Union City and Rev. Billy and Jennifer Uzzle of Hickman, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren and the spouses of eleven, Chad and Sissy Mills of Jackson, Louisiana, Aaron and Emilee Baker, Jaron and Hailey Baker, Tabitha and Jordan Davis, Clint and Savannah Baker, Tyler and Kayla Uzzle and James Carson Uzzle all of Union City, Rev. Dwayne and Yalonda Uzzle, Brandon and Kerri Uzzle, Madison and Lauren Uzzle and Chase and Brey Jones all of Hickman, Kentucky and Cayce and Andrew Young of Bernie, Missouri; eighteen great grandchildren; her stepmother, Pearl West of Monticello, Kentucky; two sisters, Connie Antle of Monticello, Kentucky and Melissa East of Corbin, Kentucky; and one brother, John West of Mooresville, North Carolina.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Decker, Thelma Johnson and Mary Alice West; and three brothers, James West, Timothy West and Claude West.
