Mrs. Marguerite Jean "Peggy" Hunter, 75, of Troy died 6:15 a.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Johnny Chessor will officiate. Burial will be in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions take the form of donations to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
or the
Alzheimer's Association

Mrs. Hunter was born May 10, 1941, in East St. Louis, Illinois, daughter of the late Robert and Helen Fern (Mayfield) Thornton. She married Lloyd Hunter February 27, 1958. He survives. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 395 in Mason Hall.
She is also survived by one daughter, Frankie (Terry) Worrell of Troy; one son, Audie Hunter of Mason Hall; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Freddie Neisler; two granddaughters, Fallon Adams and Kellye Decker; and two brothers, Joseph Thornton and Mike Thornton.
