Mrs. Patsy Forrest, 81, of Hornbeak passed away 1:16 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Bobby Stewart and Bill Haynie will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Pallbearers will be Steve Smith, Ebb Gwaltney, Allen Edmaiston, Murphy Dial, John Keeling,Harold Burton and Matt Beard.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.

Patsy was born September 20, 1938, in Obion County, daughter of the late Jess W. "Billy" and Lou Annie (Work) Burton. She married Gene "Billy" Forrest August 21, 1997. He survives. Patsy was the owner and operator of the former Wayside Florist and Pat's Beauty Shop near Hornbeak and was a member of Woodmen of The World Lodge 196 where she served as treasurer. She was a vendor at the American Legion Post 174 flea market, a volunteer at the Ridgely Senior Citizens Center and was a fund raiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and supported other children's charities for many years. Patsy was a member of the church of Christ at Oak Ridge.

She is also survived one son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Rhonda Forrest of Troy; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonita "Bonnie" and Bill Siler of Germantown; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Leo "Guy" Forrest; and one brother, Jess W. "Peewee" Burton, Jr.
