Obituary

Patricia (Rudd) Mathis, 52, of Montalba, Texas died 12:43 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at her home. She was a former resident of Obion County.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014, at East View Cemetery in Union City. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Jeremy Northam, Adrian Lattus, Montana Powell, Patrick Pendergast, Walker Johnson and Dustin Ray.

She was born December 31, 1961, in Lake County, daughter of the late Clyde Junior Rudd and the late Jewell Mae (Dean) Stewart. She married Bill Mathis October 11, 2003. He survives. Patricia had been employed as a care giver to the elderly and had been a business owner. She enjoyed decorating, working in her flower gardens and entertaining people in her home. She was a member of Faithway Baptist Church in Troy.

She is also survived by one daughter, Kacee Blakely of Hornbeak; one son and his fiancée, Brian Stacks and Kim Hensley of Union City; one step daughter and her husband, Keri and Dale Hafner of Mansfield, Texas; two step sons and their wives, Brian and Jodi Mathis of Mansfield, Texas and Chris and Amber Mathis of Grandview, Texas; one grandson, Peyton Pollock of Hornbeak; six sisters and the spouses of five, Shelby and Jerry Bailey of Troy, Tremenda and Butch Dillon of Hutchinson, Kansas, Brenda and Mark Adams of Sedalia, Kentucky, Betty Rudd of Montalba, Texas, Kristi and Travis Johnson of Troy and Karen and Darren Ray of Union City; two brothers, Tim Rudd of Dyersburg and Rick and Dianne Matheny of Cedar Grove; her step father, Tony Stewart of Union City; nine step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Montana Powell of Montalba, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by her step mother, Joan Rudd.
