Patricia Ann "Pat" Dean, 65, of Troy passed away unexpectedly 1:35 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother John Worrell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Wright, Dillon Mathis, Josh Eaves, Eddie Land, Tim Land and Sean Tucker.
Pat was born March 26, 1957, in Obion County, daughter of the late Ed and Kathryn (Klutts) Gammons. She was a 1976 graduate of Obion County Central High School where she was a star basketball player. She had been employed at the former Virgin's Nursery and the former Candy Apple Daycare. Pat was very passionate about her flowers and always had a beautiful garden all around her home. Her pride and joy in life though, was her family. From her parents and siblings while growing up, to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, Pat's life revolved around her family. Her home is filled with photos of loved ones and she loved telling stories about them. She hosted some of the best parties for any occasion, always with "the more the merrier" attitude and so much home cooked food made with love.
She is survived by her companion, Lynn Jones of Troy; her daughter, Mandy Dean (Andy Grimes) of Union City; her son, Cody Dean (Stef) of Coalville, Utah; her step daughter, Ellen Smothers of Springville; her step son, Scotty Jones of Springville; three sisters, Elly Mathis of Troy, Margo Wright (Daniel) and Joyce Land all of Union City; two brothers, Jeff Gammons (Lana) of Union City and Jim Gammons (Ruby) of Lake St. Charles, Missouri; seven grandchildren, McCall Matheny (Garrett) of Union City, Ashton Eddlemon (Jennalea) of Obion, Shelby Jones of Troy, Morgan Jones (Zebulah Force) of Union City, Caleb Jones of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Dillon Smothers of Springville and Jasmine McDaniel (Cameron) of Mayfield, Kentucky; and eigh great grandchildren, Teagan Matheny, Colt Matheny, Bryleigh Eddlemon, Olleigh Eddlemon, Baker McDaniel, Zuri Force, Lyza Ann Force and Nova Force.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Annette Tucker; two brothers, Mickey Gammons and Bob Gammons; and one great grandson, Knox Matheny.
