Otis Daniel Emerson, 83, of Saulsbury, Tennessee passed away Sunday morning, May 10, 2026, at his home. He was a former resident of Lake County.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2026, at New Hope Bible Church. Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Bible Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Otis was born May 22, 1942, in Memphis, son of the late Otis Layfette Emerson and the late Virginia (Glispy) Clark. He married Patty (McDonald) Emerson August 10, 1992. Otis took great pride in being a custom cabinet builder for many years. He enjoyed fishing and attended Pocahontas Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Patty Emerson of Saulsbury; three daughters, Sonya Emerson (Walter) of Atoka, Tatum Marlow (Joe) of Ridgely and Raiann Tivey (James) of Newbern; three sons, Robert Emerson and Danny Emerson both of Florida and Geno Emerson of Ripley; one brother, Clifford Clark, Jr. (Pat) of Memphis; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Carla Hoffman (Darrell) of Union City and Rita Spicer of Murfreesboro; one brother-in-law, Marty Sikes (Kathy) of Elk Ridge, Maryland; and his beloved dog, Opie.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Danielle Emerson; and one sister, Betty Jernigan.
