Obituary

Mary Opal Ivy, 91, of Union City passed away 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Obion County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at New Haven Cemetery near Ridgely. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Stover, Brent Stover, Richie Ivy, Robbie White, Robert White and Chad Fultz.

Mrs. Ivy was born August 20, 1923, in Lake County, daughter of the late Charlie and Flora May (Ward) Crouch. She married Glen Dayton Ivy in September 1941. He died August 20, 1961. Mrs. Ivy was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ragsdale of Union City and Glenda Criswell of Trenton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Joyce Ivy of Union City; one brother, J.C. Crouch of Ridgely; eight grandchildren, Darlene Fultz of Obion, Jeff Stover of Paducah, Kentucky, Brent Stover, Renea White and Rhonda Ivy all of Union City, Richie Ivy of Troy, Britney Rudd of Murfreesboro and Bridgette Meals of Trenton; and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Crouch and Charlie Crouch, Jr.; and one sister, Inez Crouch.
