Obituary

Novella Louise Myer, 77, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away 3:56 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2020, at Sparta Health & Rehabilitation in Sparta, Georgia. She was a former resident of this area.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City. David Kressman will officate. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Novella was born October 15, 1942, in Tiptonville, daughter of the late George Taylor, Sr. and the late Minnie (Tweedy) Whited. She had been employed as a caterer and a cook. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Eatonton, Georgia.

She is survived by three daughters, Nola Wheeler of Georgia, Brenda DeHart and Tracye Kressman both of Louisiana; two sons, Leon DeHart (Angie) and Jerry DeHart (Bridget) all of Kentucky; her two sons-in-laws, Dennis Wheeler of Georgia and David Kressman of Louisana who were both more like sons to her; twelve grandchildren, Christy Burger, Angela Penn, Andrea Elston, Gary Wheeler, Jayson DeHart, Robert Pool, Cassandra Pool, Lakisha Pool, Tabatha Conrad, Todd DeHart, Sagie DeHart and Collin DeHart; twenty seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Sullivan of Alabama and Pam Dobbs of Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Kyle Whited; her stepmother, Jean Taylor; her half brother, Leo Taylor; one great granddaughter, SkyLeigh Pool; and one brother, George Taylor, Jr.
