Obituary

Norman Brook Edgin, 82, of Union City passed away 7:36 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Diversicare of Martin.

Memorial visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023.

Norman was born September 3, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late Jessie and Hattie (Murphy) Edgin. He lived most of his life in Samburg and Union City. Norman was a truck driver and dispatcher for Martin Trucking Company for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family, and eating at Boyette's. Norman was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff Edgin (Connie) of Fulton, Kentucky and Buddy Edgin of Union City; three grandchildren, Shea Sweeney of Paducah, Kentucky, Sean Edgin (Alex) of Murray, Kentucky and Taylor Shields (Jeremy) of Mayfield, Kentucky; five great grandchildren, Selena Sweeney of Paducah, Kentucky, SJ Sweeney of Sedalia, Kentucky, Jackson Edgin of Murray, Kentucky and Evelyn Shields and Jessie Shields both of Mayfield, Kentucky; and one sister, Willie Hager (Bob) of Hamburg Township, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by his companion, Beverly Terrell; his daughter, Valerie Edgin; three brothers, Jimmy Edgin, Denmon Edgin and Leamon Edgin; and three sisters, Lillian Hutchison, Anetha Tuggle and Martha Simmons.
