Mr. Norman Lee Chandler, 73, of Union City died suddenly Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Darrell Hoffman and Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Chandler, Chad Luedeke, Trent Robertson, Andy McGowan, Steven Green and Brandon Poyner.

Honorary pallbearer will be Teresa Fletcher.

Mr. Chandler was born January 14, 1941, in Parma, Missouri, son of the late Noah Artis and Agnes (Parsons) Chandler. He married Shirley (Stanley) Chandler September 16, 1961. She survives. Mr. Chandler was co owner of the former Home Lumber Company in Union City from 1975 to 1997. He was owner and operator of Home Builders Mart in Union City and a founder and member of the former Reelfoot Regional Builders Association.

He is also survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chuck and Candice Chandler and Jon Chandler all of Union City; one sister, Joan Sadler of Granite City, Illinois; three brothers, Gene Chandler of St. Louis, Missouri, and Albert Chandler and Bill Chandler both of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas; and four grandsons, Bryan Chandler, Jon Chandler, Jr., Aiden Jackson and Noah Chandler all of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Chandler ; and two sisters, Lenore Stone and Lurell Smith.
