Mrs. Norma Jean Tarr, 89, of Union City passed away 12:31 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Ray Cagle will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Norma was born February 18, 1932, in Samburg, daughter of the late William Arthur "Pretty" and Fannie Marie (Baker) Bell. She married Thomas Tarr March 1, 1952. He passed away June 21, 1992. She was a member of Union City First United Pentecostal Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Tarr (Cynthia) of Nashville and Ted Tarr (Tina) of Allendale, Michigan; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Vernie Wilson (Darrell) of Sparta, Michigan, Mary Jane Bell of Union City and Wanda Busby of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Jimmy D Bell of Samburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Spring; one sister, Hazel Mae Copeland and one brother, James Alfred Bell.
